Born into a musical family on May 1, 1980, she moved to New York at the age of 9.

In 1997, at the age of 16, she made her debut as a singer under the name "Ryuichi Sakamoto feat. Sister M". 

In addition to her musical activities, she has expanded her range of expression to include writing, narration, and theatrical performance, and has been a radio personality for "Dear Friends" on TOKYO FM and other national networks since 2011. In 2021, she released her new album "birds fly".

With animal protection being her life's work, she is known as a "cat lover" through her book "CRAAAAZY CAT LOVER" and her beloved cat "Sabami".

She is also one of the founders of "Children's Life is Children's Own (Kodomo no Inochi ha Kodomo no Mono)" to reduce child abuse.
