Uchida Maaya starred in the TV animation ’Sankarea’ as a role,Sankarea, and went on to make an appearance on TV animation as a role of heroine in 2012, and received both popular and commercial acclaim.
 In the following year, she won the Best New Actress Award in the 8th Seiyu Awards. 
In addition to the activities as a voice actress, She made her debut in 2014 as a singer with her single, ‘Soushou Innocence’ which served as the opening theme for Akuma no Riddle’.
She held a solo live shows titled, "take you take me BUDOKAN!!" on the New Years Day when she celebrated her 5th anniversary at Nippon Budokan, where all tickets were sold out and ended in a big success. 
This year, she released 9th single ‘ Kodou Escalation’ on July 10th and is going to release her 2nd mini album ‘you are here’ on October 2nd.
A live tour will be held throughout Japan selected Zepp locations starting in November. 

2010年声優デビュー。2012年に「さんかれあ」、「中二病でも恋がしたい！」と立て続けにヒロイン役を演じブレイク。2013年“声優アワード新人女優賞”に輝く。数多くの作品でメインキャラクターを担当し、現在最も勢いのある女性声優の一人。
本業である声優業と並行して、2014年4月のTVアニメ「悪魔のリドル」OPテーマ『創傷イノセンス』にて待望のアーティストデビュー。
2016年2月には初のワンマンライブ『Hello,1st contact!』を中野サンプラザで開催。翌年には2nd LIVE「Smiling Spiral」を代々木第一体育館にて2日間開催。2018年4月にはファンクラブ「LIFE IS LIKE A SUNNY DAY」を開設、6月以降、東阪福での自身初となるツアー「Magic Number TOUR 2018」を実施。2019年元日には日本武道館での単独公演も満員で成功させた。
3月にはフランスで撮影された約4年ぶりの写真集「étoile」（エトワール）が発売。
そして11月～12月にかけて初のZeppツアー「we are here」を開催した。
2020年7月には初のオンラインライブをコロナ禍で業界内先駆けで開催した。今年4⽉にTVアニメ『SSSS.DYNAZENON』ED主題歌「ストロボメモリー」を担当。音楽活動に加えて、ドラマや地上波バラエティ番組への出演など、精力的に活動している声優アーティスト。
