■saji will perform at 2022 GMA SHOWCASE which will be held in Taiwan from 6/24(Fri.) to 6/26(Sun.)

saji will perform at the Golden Melody Festival showcase live at Backstage Live, a live house in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, from June 24 (Fri.) to 26 (Sun.), prior to the Golden Melody Awards (Golden Melody Awards), which are known as Taiwan's Grammy Awards.

Tokyo International Music Market (TIMM) has been collaborating with GMA, a music award and festival that continues to make great strides in Asia, to promote the overseas development of artists from both regions and the further internationalization of both events by sending artists to each other every year. Saji will perform as the Japanese representative of GMA's invited overseas artists.

saji is scheduled to perform on the afternoon of Friday, June 24 (Taiwan time).

The GMA is a multi-event musical celebration featuring mainly the Golden Melody Awards and the Golden Melody Festival.

Prior to the Golden Melody Awards Ceremony, a series of events take place during a span a three days, including international conferences, master class, showcases, business matching center, networking and academia. Invitees come from Asia, Europe and the Americas and consist of key figures in the record, performance, artist agency, international news and television industries, as well as international buyers and musicians. The aim is to facilitate business exchange between Taiwan and the world and make the event an important business platform in Asia.

■About “saji”

A three-member band from Hokkaido, Japan, who used to go under the name "phatmans after school" before changing their name to saji in 2019. Writer and lead vocalist, Takumi Yoshida's soul-piercing voice, passionately lyrical melody lines, and his straightforward lyrics that express conflict and melancholy, harmonize perfectly with the performances of guitarist Shinya Yutani and bassist Yoshimitsu Yamazaki. Together, they create a synergetic effect that resonates with younger generations. They signed with King Records in 2019 and released “Tsubasa”, which is the first ending theme for TV anime “Ahiru no Sora”. Their songs have been featured as theme music for many popular anime such as “Tomodachi Game”, “SHAMAN KING” and more. Takumi Yoshida not only writes all his own music but also writes for other popular artists such as Nana Mizuki, Kis-My-Ft2, Yui Horie, Yuma Uchida and many others.
